- Registration Certificate as a Highly Skilled Migrant
- After January 2007 Bulgarian and Romanian nationals received the free movement rights as they joint EEA however if you want to work as an employee in the UK you need to qualify as any other individual those who are not part of the EEA.
- This means you need to obtain permission from the UK Border Agency prior commencing your employment.
- Once you have been working legally as an employee in the United Kingdom for 12 months without a break you will have full rights of free movement and will no longer need our permission to take work. You can then get a registration certificate confirming your right to live and work in the United Kingdom, although you are not obliged to do so.
- In order to qualify as a Highly Skilled Migrant you must obtain 75 points from the attribute section. However as a Bulgarian and Rumanian national you are not required to fulfill the maintenance and English Language requirement.
