- EEA Family Permit For NON EEA Family Members
- This visa category is for family members who come to UK with their EEA nationals but who are not themselves a national of an EEA country.
- As a “Family Member” of an EEA national you need to apply for residence card normally known as EEA family permit in order to confirm your right of residency in the UK.
- Under the normal circumstances; as an EEA family member you will be given 5 years of residence permit.
- Once you complete your 5 years period you are eligible to apply for Permanent Residency in the UK however you must be able to prove that your EEA family member is still exercising his or her treaty rights in the UK and your relationship is still subsisting.
